Superb coin! I was looking at Irish half crowns just yesterday . I have a 1939 that an old friend from here Dave Mac gave me years ago. One of the dates I was drooling over was an 1928. And the 54 you have in your avatar Is very nice also. I would so love a 28 and 54 date.
These are my two latest coin captures. I've won Canadian tokens too.. Ceylon rix dollar Penang 1/2 Cent (reduced size type)
I posted this the other day in a different thread. I'm not usually a world coin guy, but this was a fun find for me. 1912 Brasil 1000 Reis stars and circle obverse variety.
I went to a dealer that I only get to go to about twice a year, because he's about two hours away from me. I spent $92 total for these 8 silver coins. First, Canada 1967 dollar, I only need the 1949 to have all types of silver dollars up to 1967.
1915 British 1/2 crown. I think the reverse is in a lot better shape than the obverse for some reason. And a 1916 Ecuador 2 Decimos.
This one is a 1394 a.h. Or 1974 Egypt 1 pound. I liked its design. And a 1977 Turks and CAICOS 25 crowns. I don't particularly like the design, but it is 43.75 grams, 1.3 ounces silver. I'm thinking I will take it out of the holder it is sealed in, it looks like the insert is some kind of cardboard.
Here are the last two. A congo 1 ounce bullion coin, and a 1919 British Honduras 25 cents, pretty bad shape, all in all I think it was a good haul for a good price.
That's not really so bad for the British Honduras. Those coins are usually pretty heavily worn. I definitely have worse ones.
Just won this 1942 threepence. One of the key dates for the series. Sellers photos. 528,000 minted. Looks like it has a few nice die cracks as well.
1938 3D PR63 1916-M Specimen set MS64-65 - florin is probably a business strike (will need to send it to the auction house for a refund, the other two I'm getting PCGS to re-slab). The 3D was a business strike so I didn't buy it. 1884-M Shield Sov - MS64 (Ex Quartermaster, Paul Terry, Robert Jaggard)
