This coin looks amazing, but you think it's Real or Fake?

Moot point with me. Seller with short record. Raw coin. Pictures too weak to judge. No go.

And WOW never builds my confidence.

Wow, that would be a nice coin. But I don't think it's real.

Given the poor pictures, nothing looks egregiously fake about it, but:
    1) The pictures are indeed poor and are likely hiding something
    2) The seller has low feedback and no returns
    3) If that coin is in fact what the seller bills it to be, it should be in a TPG holder. Sure, it could've come out of someone's collection from 50 years ago, but it seems really sketchy for a coin of that (alleged) caliber to not be holdered.

I'd say no go for me.

A raw 5 figure coin on Ebay should always be assumed to be too good to be true until proven otherwise, especially with pictures like that.

There is another seller like this on ebay. It is against their policy to have a numerical grade shown or listed without it being graded by one of the big 3 or 4 graders. These should be reported and removed.

That is not quite correct. You can't have a numerical grade in the title or description, but you can have a picture that shows a numerical grade on a holder.

That said, I hope whoever buys this doesn't buy it as an "MS67."

    Edit: Whoops. I'm dead wrong.

The question is, does a 2x2 count as a "holder from a non-approved grading company"?

Not true. As quoted from ebay page...

"A raw coin is one that hasn't been graded by a coin grading company, or has been graded, but not by an approved grading company.
Listings for raw coins must follow these guidelines:
    • The numeric grade (such as MS-65, VF-25) isn't included in the title, description, or item specifics of the listing.

    • No estimate of value (even if personal opinion) or reference to a price guide is included in the title or description.

    • The listing includes photos of the front and back of the coin being sold, and you are authorized to use the photos. Stock photos and images that are dark, out of focus, edited, or misleading aren't allowed.

    • Photos or scans of coins in holders from a non-approved grading company cannot show a grade. The grade must be completely obscured and unreadable.

    • The starting, reserve, or Buy It Now price for the coin is less than $2,500.

I have been told that it is illegal by them, but honestly, I feel they do not really know what is legal and illegal themselves half the time. I've actually had my ACCUGRADE $2 1/2 Indian removed from ebay twice this week (and now I am on a brief selling ban). I could not get an answer as to what was illegal with the listing, but after research I am GUESSING I need to not show the grade in the picture? Centsless could literally have every one of his listings removed, but instead they go after me who has one accurately graded coin listed by a unique and interesting grading company.

It is illegal to show a grade in the TITLE or DESCRIPTION. It says nothing about showing the grade in a picture. Really, that is their interpretation and has been since they started.

    Not sure what yo are seeing, but here is their quote;
"Coin and paper currency listings can only mention a grade in the title or listing when that grade has been given by an approved grading company."

Pictures are NOT considered in that. I was part of their EMR team and had many many discussions with them about such topics.
