Presidential Dollar Designs - Ronald Reagan proposals unveiled

I honestly don't like any of them for President Reagan. Some are even down right hideous!

Why not get rid of the presidents (and Franklin...) and replace them with Liberty? Those old coins from circa 1916 were stunners and the best looking coins that the mint has ever minted.

 

More than a few of the present candidates would look even worse. Wonder how the mint would handle a comb-over?

 

I'd agree with you except that the law quoted is the "Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005" which was well after the deaths of Roosevelt, Kennedy, and Eisenhower.

Amazing that the software used to produce these even includes some "hits" on the coins surface. Look at the 4 in 40th............

 

I agree completely. Makes him look like he has buck teeth. Horrible.

 

I think that, as usual, they picked the worst design of the possible choices.
