I can't give you any details, but I do like the letter transfer on the obverse. Chris @rww67 - By the way, welcome to the neighborhood!
Thanks,I haven't been able to find anything about it.I was hoping someone could give some insight on rarity and value.
It's hard to find stats on most errors. Sometimes, there could be dozens available while other times the mistakes are caught by Mint employees relatively quickly. It's also not easy to place a value on such errors. If you were to place it at auction, and more than one person wanted it, there is no telling how high it could go. On the other hand, if it didn't attract much interest, it might sell fairly cheap. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Chris
Nice clash value wise like most coins what ever another is willing to pay for the specimen because of the clash. Otherwise what grey sheet bid is for an 1891 IHC in the condition yours is in.
You know at the last coin show I attended I found a three cent Cu Ni 1865 I have several this date. However I did purchase it as it was a very cool clash, and the show before that show I passed on one very similar. This had items tripped clashed ribbons, the III Roman numerals. So yeah someone may like the clash and be willing to pay or buy it. The three cent piece I purchased was an Au. And I paid just for that.
Where are you located ? State wise.... let me give you a really nice Web site tip. Coinzip.com list all shows nation wide. In fact I believe Alan has an app that you can click on to give you directions from your location to the show. Alan is a member here as well as other coin forums. And will also add a very close trusted friend.
Found in a roll of pennies some time back just noticed the clash the other day and that's why I joined the forum hoping to get some info on rarity of the 1891 two sided clash.
