2 rolls of dims and two rolls of quarters. Nada. I haven't gotten anything so far but I enjoy this. Besides the bank where are the best places to go? I have been going to gas stations.

I've been told that liquor stores get lots of old money. Unfortunately, my local has an arrangement with someone else.

My friend at a pizza shop finds a fair amount of silver coins and silver certificate bills.

I've had good luck at grocery store banks.

gas stations are good, any place that sells tobacco and alcohol because when people get desperate to feed their addictions they'll spend old money. My friend was broke and was about to spend a 1934 $20 on a log of snuff, luckily I noticed and traded him a newer one before he spent it.

Makes good sense. Gotta think like a pirate to get the good stuff. Got a role of pennies and thought I had a couple of errors. Researched on web and Don't think they are. Gonna keep them and go over later. Pennies are hard to look for errors. I have 16 magnification. Should I go to a better one?

5 roles of quarters, one role of dimes, 4 roles of pennies. Nothing. I am really starting to like penny roles. Going to get a ton of them.

Are Banks going to give you heat if you tell them you are coin roll hunting? I ask because I am going to get a large amount of coins and I anticipate that question being asked.

IMHO, don't tell them you're doing CRH. It is my advice to not lie, but you can "honestly" say things like "Oh, I'm looking for coins to fill one of those coin albums", etc.

Lately I've tried saying that I'm looking for error coins. The jury is still out on that one.

I flat out told my bank that has halves what I was doing because they asked. The only problem they had was the weight of carrying them to me!

Tell them you're a coin collector. That's what you are.

Never tell them you're looking for silver. Don't ever want to do that. Ever.

In my case, I am a collector. I'm just as stoked finding a minty but otherwise non-rare old coin, as I am finding a valuable coin. Slot fillers make my week.

I just told them I was a collector, didn't say anything about Silver. They asked me if I wanted to have them ordered for me every week!

Box of Halves: One had a derogatory comment on it. 2 1972D with no FG. Going to take them to my LCS to see what is up.

Got a box of pennies during lunch break. Going to do it right and use my Red Book instead of weird online sights.

Might just as well ask them if they want to search the rolls themselves and keep the finds!

Three boxes of Loomis halves...a couple proofs, 1972 and 1999. No silver. I'm throwing almost all NIFC's back. They must be truly startling to keep.
