    I have this coin that I keep trying to take a picture of and upload to this post but its not allowing me to I guess it's just my phone. Anyhow it's a gold colored coin one side has United States of America / Great Seal and in the middle it has the Eagle you know the deal. and it on the river so that it has the Great Smoky Mountains with an eagle and an Indian and 1995. it's probably about size of a half dollar.

    It's a bronze medal. Seems like they create different versions every year. Here are 2 examples I found on Google - 1991 and 1984

    They sell on ebay for about $10.00

    Like paddy said, the Mint makes different medals all the time, and bronze is the metal they use most often. The primary difference between a US medal and a US coin is that coins will have a denomination on them.
