Found this Everyman Set Dime in Sweden { via EBay }.... Purchased it Friday afternoon...its being delivered by FedEx on Monday morning before 10:30 AM !!! Amazing !!
Jdiablo - I love that 1892 Quarter !! Nice score ! Charlottedude: I also think you did very well on the 1909-O Quarter - if you are going to only have the one, that's a good one to have !
From a good friend's shop in Sacramento: Americana Rare Coins. Glenn Holsonbake and Steve Feltner are business partners who opened a great Brick and Mortar store on Folsom Road. I spotted this 1900 Half in PCGS 58 - and knew it would be the perfect addition to my AU 58 - 58+ Date Set:
Hello, I am looking for advice or opinion of my 1892s Barber. Is it worth sending in for grading , and what grade would you think possible. The photos are the best I can do for now. Thank you in advance. Michael
well, it desperately needs to be conserved to get that cr@p off of there. IF it can be cleaned/conserved then perhaps a %% -- a very tough date in that grade
I would like to take the buffer wheel to it, but I've read that's a bad idea. Ha! Ha! I'm wondering about acetone dip but don't want to risk damaging what could be a nice coin. Not sure what %% means but will take it as a positive. Thank you for your input. Is there such a thing as professional coin restoration services available and have you had any positive interaction with one.
Just answered my own questions. Gee I looked on the Internet......imagine that Ha! PCGS coin restoration...........Thanks again!
ignore the %% I am on meds [I know, no excuse, explain the past 10 years] anyway, I think I meant that if it could be conserved, not with a buffer wheel, that would make it nice an shiny tho, it may be worth sending in, by not likely worth the $'s.
I'd be embarrassed To show off my rather extensive Barber coin collection...Most of my collection is not in that good of condition...The coins are more like fillers. The collections themselves are near complete but are missing some of the keys..
Wow Mike that 1900 half is a beauty! Cdude good to see you posting over here. Very wholesome scarce quarter.
Thanks, ksparrow. I don't have too many AU 58's. When I get around a dozen or so, I'll send them back to PCGS - for their new AU 58 "+" regrade service. Silverhouse: I really enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing !!
