Depends how much time you have, IMHO.

When I'm in a hurry, I'll do nickels because I'm not "into" Jefferson errors. I just look for War nickels and Buffs (and the ever-elusive "V" nickel!)

If it were me, I'd find another $25 and do a box of nickels and a box of pennies. Best of both worlds.

Back in the game of roll searching after taking a break for a couple of weeks because of work, doing remods on my house etc.

    $400 in CWR 10c:
    2 Silver Roosies, 1956-D and 1963-D
1 nice BU 1943 cent that was in the same roll as the following:
    1 Swiss 10 Rappen 1957

I was pleased with the silver and gobsmacked by the BU 1943 steely.

Recently got a couple hundred dollars of halves.
After searching through them, I found:
    one grungy 1968
1 roll was missing a couple of halves, but had a Sacagawea in their place, so a wash.
Another roll wouldn't completely empty out; had to push the coins out from the other end. Turns out that I had a 1 peso coin from Mexico, dated 1950 in there. Well, nuts, I got screwed.
Decided to look this interloper coin up in my World Coins catalog.
Well, I found out that this coin is 30% silver, and could be worth $1.90 melt, and maybe $2.50 numismatically. So, not so screwed. I'll add it to my silver stash.

I wonder if you found one of my rolls! Sometimes I do this if I find 2 "keepers" and don't have a pair of clad halves laying around.

Just out of curiosity, did you get this roll at a Bank of America in the Kansas City area?

no, it was near Seattle. I suspect it is not uncommon for CR hunters, in order to keep the currency value intact.

The "box due in tomorrow" was looked through...3 - 40%. Perhaps my lack of good fortune the past month has turned.

It's my opinion that this behavior is what helps to ruin this hobby for searchers.
It's one step away from pulling a coin and rewrapping the roll short. If banks have customers complain about that half roll, then it's shutdown mode.
Find a bank or credit union in your area with a coin counting machine.
I find rewraps all over in my area at Chase banks - and there's plenty of TCF banks that all have free coin counting for members. It's a $100 minimum savings account balance - no brainer.
Plenty of credit unions have coin counting machines too.

2 boxes of halves yesterday. Got a 1964 in one box, but the other box had 6 40%, 11 64's and 41s Walker. Before that box, the most silver halves I'd ever got in one box was 9 (all 40%) and the most 90%'s I'd ever got in one box was 5. It's not as good as some of the monster finds I've seen on here, but was definitely happy with the results.

I've found multiple Indian head pennies in rolls and I found a 1909 (P) VDB. They are out there, you just have to be extremely lucky to get the right box. I also pulled 72 wheats out of one $25 box.

Get a box of nickels, and when you get through with them take them back to the bank and get some pennies.

Fair bit of luck this week. :)

Box of BWR Cents yielded 37 wheatbacks and 28 Canadians.

26 of those wheats are encrusted with sediment though. Ultra low quality. I think someone found them buried in dirt or something. They were clearly together, as there were ten 1941's and twelve 1942-D. I'm going to try soaking them and see if anything good happens.

On the plus side, I found this 1940-S hole filler in the box. :)

Next up, was a box of BWR Nickels.

    Found 6 coins prior to 1940, (19) 1940-1949, (13) 1950-1959, and 9 Canadians.

Most of the coins weren't worth keeping though. I saved maybe 50% of the oldest coins. The 6 before 1940, however, were keepers. (3) 1939-P, 1934-D, 1906!!!, and another dateless Buffalo. Oh and there was also a beat down 1945-S and this destroyed 1936 George. Fun box!

My 2nd ever found Liberty Nickel.

This 1934-D is another hole filler for me.

Finally got my boxes that should have come in Thursday. Everything was messed up because of the blizzard.
Both boxes of halves were skunks. Only a 1982 Panama 1/2 Balboa to show for it.

Got my first ever silver war nickel in a roll, 1945-P. I also got a low mintage 1952-S.

Nice! I've found a few War nickels, and you know, it NEVER gets old! (Sorry for the unintended pun)

I love War nickels. Almost more than Buffs.

4 Rolls of dimes and 4 rolls of quarters. Nothing. Got 10 rolls of halfs that I am looking forward to going into. I was going to get a box of halfs but not sure how to get my money back quick if I have to change it in. Any help here?
