STATEHOOD QUARTER ERRORS

    I found both of these quarters in the same roll. I did some hunting online for this error and of course it only touches on a few aspects of it, so I figured I would bring it to the experts. I took several pics of them but the Tennessee quarter appears to have some slight doubling on AMERICA and IN GOD WE TRUST.. Let me know guys

    looks like MD and environmental damage to me....

    And how would environmental damage cause them to be copper?

    MD=Machine Doubling. Very common. But your looking in the right direction.

    The surface luster of the coin looks like damage from some type of chemical

    Ok got ya. So what about the cladding?

    the coin reacted with an unknown substance and turned that coppery color, i've found coins like yours metal detecting..
