I found dozens of Oregon Trail commemoratives for less than $200. Here is an example: http://coins.ha.com/itm/commemorati...-23309.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515
I believe they have weakened sir. Like a lot of US coins, especially ones with more volume around, prices have been weakening for the last few years from what I have heard. I am sure there are more of these around for sub-$200 nowadays than when I bought mine. I like the reverse of this coin, but not the obverse much. Mine is nicely toned on both sides.
Two, the biggest ones in Minnesota, one in March and another in October. We have dealers coming from all the Midwest!
Not as many as we used to sir. Most ancient dealers will not come anymore, and the shows are selling out much slower than in the past. Between the stupid MN state "bullion" law, the fact we tax coin sales, and our jackboot thugs from the MN Dept of Revenue, we are a very unhospitable place for dealers here. I would not be surprised if the Earl Brown center loses one of these two large shows in the future.
. I've been to the fall show a couple of times. Really liked it. Now that I live five hours from the Twin Cities it's hard to get to that show.
Thats where I'm at. I cant get to it because of school because my breaks dont line up with it. Definitely hope this isnt true. I do enjoy being able to go to the show when I can.
Wait, I thought it would be in Chicago in 2018 due to IL's 200th year anniversary for its statehood, no? I was hoping to get an ANA special silver (half) dollar commemorative then...
Nope, Chicago is set for 2019 because it will be the centennial of the host club, the Chicago Coin Club. 2018 will be in center city Philadelphia at the same site as in 2012. That is assuming my bosses don't lose their minds and institute a sales tax on coins between now and then.
Since I work for a state government (not MN), I find myself occasionally in need of a good pair of jackboots. Unfortunately, www.jackbootsareus.com is no longer offering them. Anybody know where I can get a pair?
