43/2 nice one too...plus not quite a double eye looks as part of a clash is under Tom's eye. War nickels always amaze me...the 43 P is the queen mother of varieties... it has like 73 rpm's alone. In 66 thats a $800 nickel
Thanks Paddy. Same, such a cool area of numismatics. First set I ever completed was war nickels and johnmilton’s set above has inspired me to pull out the coin book and place them in one of those holders.
I purchased this for the holder..old school Capital plastics kept a few and switched out the rest. Notice the round corners? If memory serves me Sal's 44 D he posted came from this set.....
The obverse really blows away the reverse on that one look at the flashy fields. The reverse isn't too shabby for a die change, they complement each other really well.
John set notice the small tag and date $32.00 1969...as well the tag on mine $180. ...I didn't pay 180...more like 80...back in the day....Full steps....& toned. I do know that the rounded corners were early holders.
Only pictures I have of it,scratches are on the slab a unique piece with both a DDR and a RPM.Can't find which one it is,they all look so similar.
Thanks, I actually had to pull the coin out and look cause the reverse sure looks duller in the image- still really flashy in hand but does look more reflective than the obverse and a notch less white hot frosty.
