I found this penny and it looks like someone blew it up from the inside but there arent any holes so im assuming a fire?

I think I saw a video where they connected wires to a Cent then ran some high voltage into it in order to shrink the coin. Maybe one possibility.
could have been in a dryer a long long time.... or a parking lot find that has seen rain sun heat for a long long time could have been underground corroding of a long long period of time.
Judging by the teeth marks to the left of Lincoln's head I believe a groundhog used this coin to sharpen his teeth. That also explains the darkness of the coin. It's all PMD.
It could be environmental damage. The composition of all pennies struck after 1982 was 97.5% zinc. Chris
I'm having trouble deciphering the pictures, but it almost looks like it could be someone's attempt at a cast copy.
Just to throw this out there, the penny's rim is much thicker and it looks more like it is thick as a nickel. I think you might be right on the cast copy.
