1st picture reminds me of the wires they show in the movies.. "do I cut the blue wire or the red wire" to determine if it shuts off a bomb The Cent pictures seem like simple Die Deterioration. Very common occurrence.
The blue wire would kill the Cooling. The red jumper could kill both heat and cool depending where you cut it. The white would shut the system down. I'll bet the bomb is hooked to the green wire.
