20160118_190833.jpg You can clearly see the number 2 is doubled and the number 7 is also doubled but I can't a good picture of it to show it.

they are all doubled like that in 72 for some reason or another. You need the DDO1....toss this one in your copper bin

This may not be anything special, at least from what I can see, but the idea that only DDO #1 is worthwhile is simply wrong. Hell, while certainly the most significant, its not the absolute most valuable one for the date (#4). The fact is that because of #1, several still significant doubled dies - coin that if of another date would be top varieties - are overshadowed, yet are still out there to be found. Wexler's list is complete for the date/mint, with many detailed photos, and should be very useful when trying to identify any potential finds.

I saw on there that the number 9 was the closest to mine.

#9 shows comparatively strong doubling on the tail of the 2, and I don't see that on yours. However, there are 3-4, maybe 5, other similar varieties known that show to a lesser extent; have you checked those as well?

You have the coin in hand, and certainly can see better than I can, but if you want to be sure before moving on, feel free to post a few more photos. I'd love to be wrong on this one.... :)

I can't get a good picture on my phone. The doubling is mostly on the 7 and 2. The 1 looks thicker than the 9.

I use mine the great majority of the time I'm here, so with the comparatively small screen and my seen-better-days eyes, viewing can be difficult to say the least. Have you tried to match markers?

Perhaps I'll save the photo and see if I can get a better look that way.

I'm working on getting a computer and a camera for this stuff. Lol. It's hard to take pictures with a phone.

I'm just lazy these days... the computer seems so much work, at least when at home.

Depending on your phone, a lot can be accomplished with some cell cameras today. Plus many actual cameras are capable, via an app or Bluetooth, of sending photos straight to a phone for editing, viewing, posting, etc. Not really an all things equal option, I suppose, but is an option nonetheless.

Mine is an LG phone. Not the best camera either. I don't have all those editing apps. Just the phone.

It isn't the ddo1 but still worth 2x2 Ing it and keeping if you collect errors. Sadly I don't think it has much of a premium if any

Cool, I can save it for reference if nothing else. But I love collecting them anyway.
