I coin roll hunt cents quite a bit and know of a ton of varieties and errors in the series. I have a 30x magnification device but was wondering how you guys check for errors and varieties quickly and efficiently so you don't miss those valuable errors.

Sell all coins and scrutinize them carefully. With all honesty, that's how I found out some scarce error coins such as rotated die error, double die etc. And these are often from countries that are not well known for errors!!!

There is no quick way. It takes time, knowledge and research.

I guess what I meant was that when you take time to photograph them, turns out you are more likely to look at them rather than taking 2 seconds to determine if it is an error coin or not.

Why would you take photos without knowing if it is an error or not? Am I missing something?

I use a 10x, but I have to admit, more then a 10x is needed for cents .

Thanks for the response I figured that would be the case. My magnification device is a handheld microscope so it takes quite some time to check the coins. I may just need to invest in a good jeweler's loupe to make the process a bit quicker. Anyways thanks for the tips and advice.
