Can anyone tag this rpm as to variety ? I used several reference sores and cannot find a listing on a proof Jefferson that looks like this one. Thanks
I have posted pics of this V Nickel somewhere else a couple of days ago... posting it here again just in case you missed it ;-)
1971 "S no S" Jefferson Mintage 1655, All marks seen in image are on the slab ,Looks way better in hand then this photo can show. PCGS Proof 67 Deep Cam.
Nope looks it though.....well the rev is the obv probably held it back. And also ngc graded which are tough on nickels
At one time I had #21 of the Felix Schlag souvenir cards.an 8 x11 standard Matt with an 1938 proof that was given to Schlag by the mint. Well he got 150 proof 38 nickels. He had them made up in the frames as gifts to family and close friends. He had signed the piece and had it certified with a seal. It truly was an unusual piece. I believe you can search it out on this site I believe I posted it here.
Here's one you'll like another Variety of the 1938 Proof Jefferson in proof 67. It's an 1938 Extra Serif Look at the "S" in trust. The Regular Proof does not have the extra serif at the lower loop of the S. Also notice that the Lettering looks to be split. On the split image the top is the Regular S and the bottom is the extra serif.
