    Pretty common error on Lincoln cents. Called "grease filled die". When some foreign material fills certain die parts (letters or numbers) causing them not to show on the coins surface when minted.

    Yet er. All new error collectors and young new era collectors keep your eyes open you can find one like this in your change.

    it is a grease filled die. so what. everyone may not keep the same thing. I keep everything because it doesn't take much room

    He may be young, but I'm 60 and I still enjoy collecting the lower class coins and I don't see any signs of stopping. My error book doesn't take up much room I do have to remember to put it on the bottom shelf.
