Educate me. I don't know Pandas. How do you know they're fake?

£14.99 with free postage from China. The normal cost here is around £22. It may be that he is a great Samaritan giving silver for less than melt taking into account postage, eBay and PayPal fees else something is not right.

JMB has them for roughly £14.99 (US$22.90), so I conclude this auction is actually about right. Melt value is only $14 and change.

Three feedback, one of which says sent fake. I was taken in by very similar years ago and got a refund through PayPal in the end. I'm tempted to buy one to prove the point but that would be stupid.

Let's both watch this auction and see what happens.

Edit. I see from your link that the price quoted is $23.82 and free postage for orders over $100 within USA.

    That's the CC/Paypal price; I quoted cash/equivalent.

For the record, I don't doubt you're correct in thinking them fakes, because of the circumstantial evidence. I was hoping you had a clear visual pickup.

The seller states that the coins contain 30 grams of silver content. But isn't 1 ounce of silver something like 32.6 grams?

You are correct, but this years Panda run are supposed to be 30gms rather than 1oz.

So in reality we don't know if they're really fakes . Still better to stay away unless one learns more .

Well, he has a total of 3 Feedback, and one is this:

    That's enough for me. :D

I'm thinking there are no coins, anyway. By the way, that was an extremely intelligent Feedback on the part of the injured buyer - he left it as Positive so the seller couldn't dispute. Yes, it doesn't affect the Positive percentage, but the people who read Feedback don't care about that number anyway. It is now just a piece of solid evidence that folks like you and I - aware enough to do due diligence - can discover and see the whole picture at once.

The Temple details often give away fake Pandas. 2016 coins should have detail on the center flats of the steps and three posts on the bottom row.

This is the first year the Panda converted weight to metric.

Like everyone said the 2016 is in metric and they are in grams and 30 g. Which is under 1 oz
