Nice collection. It is the first one that I started 50 years ago. Well done!

 

It'll be my 1st set that I've completed since starting coin collecting. The 1909 Svdb was passed down to me so it kinda sparked a interest in coin collecting

 

What did that SVDB set you back? It looks shiny, and shiny ones are a lot.

 

Passed down its been in the Family.

 

Think I'm about $250 away from finishing it up

 

The '14-D and '31-S in just G condition are going to set you back more than that. Let's see that shiny SVDB. You know, some of them aren't what they say they are. We'll tell you, there are diagnostics for that.

 

It is either fake, cleaned or it does not belong in a book like that. By putting it in that book, you could have halved its value.

 

Not any more. 1914-D can be had for $120 and a 1931-S about $60

 

You should invest in a Dansco album. Then you can see both sides of the coin in the pages of the album.

 

We must have hit a depression when I wasn't looking.

That coin does not belong in any album. Preferably, get it certified or else some other holder (airtite?)

 

What coin? I see a half-coin, just a reverse.

 

But it is shiny enough that it is either Chinese, counterfeit or worth a lot.

 

Or not a 1909-S.
