Problem is no one can do anything against alibaba. They're in China and the government there refuses to step in and stop it. Even though we have counterfeit laws they have no jurisdiction over there and we can't do anything to stop it.

Where the heck is Altamonte Springs Florida? Seller states that this is the location of the store. Didn't P.T. Barnum have a museum somewhere near there?

Might you folks help explain how you determine the auction is "fake"? The country clues, eBay shills, etc. Thank you.

In this case it was the coin itself.

However coins from China or the far east, just run its not worth the risk if you aren't an expert

This one had just about everything going for it. :)

The SLQ in the image seemed (pics were cut off) to be in a PCGS slab - as did the seller's other auctions - yet the seller made no mention of PCGS. That's an enormous red flag. The SLQ itself was plainly fake. There was bidding activity which seemed to fit the pattern of a shill bidder (regular buyers from one seller also bid on this pattern but this seller had no record).

Might you explain SLQ? How you determined the "shills"?
Altamonte Springs, Florida it's on Bing/Google maps.
Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Fl on Bing/Google maps, also.

Maybe all of AliExpress's fake coins in PCGS slabs should have their slab #'s reported to PCGS. Or perhaps simply let PCGS know and they can "ban" those numbers and assign a new one to the real one's owner. Though, I'm sure that PCGS already knows about it and AliExpress sellers would simply use a different number on their labels...

By the way, that fake slab's # still shows up on PCGS:

Not really a fake slab number as that PCGS coin listed is real but with most of these fakes they steal actual certification numbers to use in their scams.
