Hello, My Grama passed away 2 years ago and while going through her boxes of jewelry this week I found this coin. I know nothing about coins or collecting but since she had it tucked away I assume it meant something to her or had some value. I'd appreciate any feedback you have! TIA
1929 Quarter Eagle. It's made out of gold. I don't own any of these so unsure of the value. Condition looks like it would be AU.
Hello ShaniGirl. Thank you for sharing your Grama's coin. That is an Indian Head quarter Eagle. Gold! http://www.coinfacts.com/quarter_eagles/indian_head_quarter_eagles/indian_head_2-1_2_gold.html rooman9 beat me to describe what your coin is
For sure! I actually have another of this coins that is a pendant on a necklace the same Grama had given me. Treasures for sure!
great coin. your grandma had great taste in coins. if I were you I would keep it forever. sentimental value is off the charts.
First, welcome to the neighborhood, Shani! That's a beautiful coin! You need to put it in a protective holder like a 2x2 flip. Chris
No mint marks on any 1929... all philly. After blowing the pics up, looks high AU to low MS to me. Value of $250-$300 probably. Welcome!
