I know it's not the best it's a USB endoscope camera under 40 magnification using a coin microscope its 50 times better thank you for your quote.
Exactly right Dave, I wish I had an extra $500 for a better coin camera but for now this will have to do.
It gets the details across. The lack of fidelity of the surface appearance doesn't really get in the way when discussing variety features like die cracks and such - frankly, I prefer them in monochrome anyway.
