I am not sure what these are worth, but you can never ever go wrong with Switzerland gold. not only is the design beautiful, but it is made out of gold. 2 great combinations. I hope to buy some Switzerland gold at the end of this year. many other coins on my want list now (mostly toned Canadian 50 cent pieces).

    Here's a World coin with a U.S. connection...

The 1944 Belgium 2 Franc coin was minted in the U.S. -- and used the same steel planchets as the 1943 U.S. cent.

Not valuable, EXCEPT: "Some coins were in error struck on silver planchets meant to become Dutch 25 cents issues, since the US also produced coins for the Netherlands during the war!"

I like error's ! I have a small collection of US coin's/Banknote's . I just like the uniqueness of a error but they are disliked in the coin world for re-sale purpose.

I love collecting world coins! I admit most of the ones I have aren't of much value. I have a Denmark 1771 Skilling with a hole, a France 1839 5 Franc, and a 1935 Canada Dollar which are the most significant coins in my collection. For me in the good time department I like going to coin shows or a coin shop, sit down in front of a box that has about 10-15 pounds of coins and go through them. I have a binder with spreadsheets of countries and denominations for a checklist. I get a lot of comments on it.
