    I was under the understanding the first coin with a Christian symbol was an Axumite coin, not a Roman one.

    Correct. The first Christian ruler was Axumite who beat Constantine's conversion by a few years. I don't have the very first one but this will do for this post. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ousanas

    Randy means the book. The secret of buying used books is finding ones the current owner considers used, out of date and on a subject that no one is interested in. Let some one else buy the ones that are rare, important and in demand. You could say the same about ratty Axumite copper. Is mine a $30 example or twice/half? That depends on whether you consider it better or worse than Nabataean, Judaean, late Roman or any other category of ugly copper.
