It's always tough to post coin pics right after Hugh ;-) but I am still proud of my first purchase in 2016: 1906 V-Nickel (Helga with dyed hair and a nice tan, how cool is that...? yes it's a CN coin, not AG)
Not a new purchase but going through some of my nickels today I found this one.... 1941-S Inverted S FS#5- 1941 S -503 024.6 URS-2 Very Scarce Variety. Normal MM is the first image, Notice the die crack that runs through the inverted S.
Not really much into moderns, especially modern commems, but this toning and the pattern just spoke to me. The burnt orange/gold, into a purple, that burnt orange halo, I had to have it, even though I'm still trying to find my 1861 IHC. So, I rescued it from an old, small white ANACS MS69 holder, got it, and sent it off to PCGS within 24 hours. Just got my grades, and had this True Viewed. Care to guess what PCGS gave it (WITHOUT searching the cert #...lol). Thanks for taking a gander.
I really love when nickels turn that color. I tend to see it more on Liberty nickels than other series for some reason.
Wow nice !!!!! I still have that MS-63 1943-S Quarter I sent u photos of, Not detailed but I should have it done. I know I wont sell it as its part of my set but details would be nice
