Treashunt: (post #7) you have too many coins total here, and the percentage of US to Foreign is way off.
Longshot, you are really off the mark on most. On one guess, though, you are somewhat close if you want to change your year range.
289 coins , 169 US 120 Foreign . 9 US proof sets from 1980 to '89 . 8 tubes of US . Canadian SP 1997 set . US coins are Jeffs , Sacs , Kennedy's , Washingtons . Foreign are some Loonies . Man this is a tough contest .
I do have a number of proof sets but you seem to think I have nearly twice as many as I have. And the years are less than I desire. Perhaps that is how you think this smallish box would hold so many proof sets. As far as US coins not in sets, I do indeed have a few, some, several, or a lot of three out of the four you mentioned. I am in the most, a modern American girl.
Six pounds, yet apparently fewer coins than I first thought. Possibly a few Mexican Libertads in there?
The plastic tubes contain a variety of coins rather than any one type of coin. These tubes are the shorter ones so they may not be able to have as many coins as in most rolls of coins, they are able to have a handful dumped into each. The coins in these are in here temporarily until I figure out which ones I might keep for my collection. I can't say any of these are very collectible but if one or two gives me a better coin as far as grade goes, then it will find its way into my more permanent ongoing modern collection. The others I will put into my spending money. Somehow, though one lone non-US coin got in here. The rolls have a distinctive branded wrap on them.
1. Total 444 2. (40) Indian Cents, (160)Memorial cents, (50) State quarters, (4) post '64 proof sets 3. US Total 274 4. World Total 170. World coins include coins from Canada, Mexico, Italy, Britain, Germany. I am in the most, a modern American girl.[/QUOTE] Er...what?? I'm think I'm getting a headache
444 is quite close to the total number of coins. IF you were in school and those were points, you might get an A+ and some extra credit . Of course I don't count the 6 tokens that are in there since they really aren't coins. I am surprised you have abandoned pursuing the feedback on what I've given you before. You could easily have half the coins accounted for if you could get that grouping. Best of luck in your answers everyone, remember you can post 4 times a day on this... and making constructive guesses and following up on the clues may get you on the right track.
