1937 buffalo error ????

    If Frank's assuming is correct, then I agree with him. If not, I have no idea what you see as an error on this coin.

    It does appear to be machine doubling. I'd probably still keep it though :)

    Sorry about not explaining my question completely. I was asking about the date doubling. So in franks explanation is a machine/strike doubling of date not an error coin.

    No, machine doubling is not considered an error. If anything, it is usually considered post-strike damage. However, it will not affect the grade or value (in either a positive or negative direction).
