Spender?

    Definitely! Spend it on one in better condition. I like to save these kinds of finds for buying other coins or notes when at a dealers shop or coin show.

    Last time I paid cash at the coin shop, I got back 2 pre-1920 wheaties and a no-date cull Buffalo nickel. I was pretty tickled. :)

    i want a 1923 Port hole 5. might cost me more than a $20 star note haha

    I would try to sell it before spending it, after all star notes should command some sort of premium, worst case scenario they give you $20 for it for it =)

    It's from a large run of 3.2 million notes, and looks to be XF at best. To me, it's a spender. If you think someone will give you more than face, then offer it up on the For Sale area of the forum and see if what shakes out.

    Hmm, It's really up to you... My older brother once had one, then his older older brother spent it. if you wondering my family is huge! 1 sister and then 9 brothers. I'm the youngest..

    I agree that you should go ahead and spend it; perhaps a better example with come your way.
