Morgan Dollar Year Set

I'm straying a bit (not too far ) from my Peace Dollar collection and putting together a Morgan year set.

So, would you select the black or white Capital year set holder?

I've been doing a proof like set for about two years now (since I gave up on the idea of an actual proof set some time back). They are either in air-tites, NGC or PCGS holders for now and I think that I like the look of the black background of the air-tites the best if that is any indication. I would go with the black if I had to choose.

 

Toners go white

Blast white go black

Mix circulated can go either

Imho of coarse

 

Do you plan on cracking your coins out of the NGC and PCGS holders when your set is complete?

 

Yep, but that's a thread for another day. I have something in the works that will make a bunch of you smile, but it's not quite ready for prime time yet.

 

That's a really good point. Mine are mostly white so I hadn't considered that.

I kinda fancy anything Morgan against black. Toners pop when you light them right, and they don't care about the background.

 

@Kirkuleez Did you ever post any more about this project? I just bought the last coin yesterday to finish my Morgan Dollar Year Set and your project has me curious.
