I got this in a token lot a lot of people say its fake but it is copper and not zinc and its 1.209" just over 30mm whats your thought is their a forum for fakes or questionable coins From what i read all these 1000 unit ones were silver and are very rare perhaps Id like to xray it because the lettering will be dark on the edges from the press but china is now using 100 ton press's
Then they have this one from France i can't read french but they both look the same 25 bids not the same same but the 1000 http://www.ebay.com/itm/us-1000-con...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Looks like a cast replica, maybe 30-40 years old or so. These novelty versions of various US colonial coins/tokens are very common.
I don't get this man the guy ended the earlier auction and the new one it sold for over $1,200.00 and 6 bidders with good feedback for coins to it that right I have been using min for lottery tickets in my pocket http://www.ebay.com/itm/us-1000-con...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
The guy who owns this - there's only one Nova Constellatio 1000 - would be interested to see the sales activity.
I saw the real one on display along with others in a case at an ANA World's fair event. Along side a 1913 V nickel and a 33 double eagle. I doubt yours is real but good luck.
@Scale Artillery: The way you can tell this is a reproduction right off is by the surfaces. It has a porous look and several casting bubbles that are typical of a poor cast job.
I know it's not real but i got it in a lot with other tokens So i didn't buy it for that the Conders were nice i got several great one not high money but still a good addition to the set of 40+ i have so i use it for a scratchier for lottery tickets as a possibility of good fortune
