How common is this? Is "THRUCK THRU" a new term?

    Hi TJ
It's quite common. Not a new term. Can we see the coin?

Edit - oh I see the mistake now... funny! :woot:

No.. here is what the seller states - Quote "ALSO NOTICE not only does the coin have errors but NGC's label has an error as well, they actually misspelled "Struck Thru" "Thruck Thru" instead haha!" unqote

NGC has the unique ability to screw labels up in ways previously unknown. :)

I have a few label errors as well. I enjoy them, hehe. Now I might have to bid on this one!

Yes, that's crazy! That slab might be very desirable for a real "error" collector. Question: Didn't I see you mention on another thread somewhere that you liked ANACS for error coins?

I was curious what the NGC verification tool would say and they made the same mistake on their site
(I want to share this image with you from the NGC website)

For SOME errors I like to submit to ANACS. For example, NGC did not label a die clash error on a coin of mine, but ANACS did, so I send those to anacs.

Aside from the thruck, they always use thru when it should be through. Do they do that to save space on the label?

I think it is done to save space.
