It's been a while since I posted any of my exonumia collection here so...without further adieu:

1st MAW 10c.jpg Marble Mountain Air Facility, Vietnam
    VN2950b
The "S" denotes staff, possibly referencing the Marine's upper enlisted tier, staff NCOs, E-6 and above. MMAF was occupied by the Marines 26 Aug 65 and turned over to the Army on 1 June 72. I don't like this picture very much, it's blurry.

Danang AB OOM 25c.jpg Danang Air Base, Vietnam
    VN1370c

    Yakota Officer's Club.jpg
    Yokota AB, Japan
    JP6240a
I might reshoot this token...looks a little blurry as well.

I got a new, fancy camera for Christmas and the instructions are worthless..unless you don't know what the button that says "On/Off" does. There's a bit of a learning curve with it but I'm excited to unleash it's potential. I should have looked at the pictures after I took them but I didn't.

Good to see some new stuff again, Jack. Congrats on the new camera. It takes a bit of time to figure them out. The instructions with my latest camera were useless too, so I know how you feel.

I actually picked up quite a few tokens but haven't posted them because I'm not happy with the pictures...but I might just do it anyway.

I wish I had more tokens from Vietnam, I only have one more. I'll have to get a photo.

Got four of these from my father-in-law who's trying to clear out in anticipation of house downsizing. Not that these were taking up much space but they were in a 10 pound bronze ashtray with some more casino tokens.

I've got a serving tray embedded with foreign coins and an ashtray made of Mexican coins. I'll post pictures of them when I find them.

Thanks. They were sold in three varieties. A 3", a 1 1/2", and 1 1/2" with a hanging loop. The hanging loop one is seen with a red/white/blue ribbon or a leather pocket watch strap.

    That would have been awesome!

You had to do what you had to do. I've seen a couple photos from you back then and actually think of them often and that war.

I only have one other Vietnam token (I really need to fix this!) and here it is:

    VN1250a Danang AB.jpg
    Danang AB, Vietnam
    VN1250a (18mm)
I think this token may have the bronze disease. The spot to the left of the obverse diamond with angular S was much brighter in a previous picture. I picked at it and now it's much duller. I need a bottle of Verdi-Care.

I was about to say "I think I finally coaxed a decent image from my new camera" but I'm still not happy. At least I now know how to do some things with it. Thanks Sony for the great manual.

I would put in distill water and see. If clear up then use something.

Thanks. I'll give that a try. Now to find distilled water in the UK...

Easy boil water 20 minutes to remove all additives. That's distilled water. But Google it first
    My time could be off.
