I,am posting this token because my 16 year old daughter won this award in her AFJROTC class,and it was presented to her by one of the last living tuskegee airmen.LT.COL.Leo r gray.
Congratulations to her for being awarded it and you for raising her! I did JROTC and it was really great in providing discipline and structure in a chaotic high school world. If she intends to join the military after high school, do your best to convince her to get a degree and commission first.
I love that medal and the men who inspired it. Congratulations to your daughter and it must have been a true honor to have one of the last surviving members of the group to present it to her...I'll bet she was thrilled.
Congrats to your Daughter ! Cool medal too . I thought it ended (segregation in the armed forces after WWII , didn't know it went on to '49 .
