Just thought this was worth a share

    I took a few pictures earlier trying to find the best light angle and when Google backed up my photos it animated (their term) them. I thought it looked pretty cool. 20151226_185325-ANIMATION.gif

    I think your penny is having a seizure. ;)

    It looks very cool. My Google Photos app does the same to me all the time. My favorite is when it does a timeline of my coin pictures, with music and arrows separating the different times during the day that the pictures were taken, as if I had taken pictures while on a trip instead of just a bunch of coin pictures in my office.

    Funny. :) Though you could make use of that feature to show luster on an uncirculated coin quite nicely.

    Yeah, I love Google editing backups into whatever they feel it should look like. :rage:

    If you light the piece properly and take enough shots showing the steps of the light rotating around a piece, despite the amount of labor it would take to image each coin, an animated GIF file can help to show a coins luster quite well. Photobucket has a GIF making tool available as well.
