There is some heavy die polishing lines in the area, actually it is seen on the whole coin going NE to SW. This could be from a clash event, and they weren't able to remove all of it.
@eddiespin I kinda got a little grumpy at ya, Sorry, cause if this were a newbie, we all would be saying what you did. I didn't provide good enough photos, that was my first bad. Again my appologies.
Nothing is minor when you find it interesting and different. I’m no pro but you have been on a while and I hardly think you would post just anything. Kind of like me lol!
I do now need reading glasses, LOL But seriously if it wasn't raised, I wouldn't have posted it and asked about it.
Lol well I cannot say anything about site lol. But it is raised and no way you would post something that is not a true questionable marking etc. I look back long ago on cointalk and it’s kind of neat to see when some were “newbies”. Of course you are not new. But we all are at one time or another and in my opinion working in banking in the past, a lot seen that would think it’s damage but far from it. Bills turned in… I cringe because I wish I were into it then but I was too busy concentrating on the customers that did collect. Heyyyy are you one of them? Lol!
I never have collected bills. I might put some low serial numbers or star bills away, but thats as far as I go.
The picture shows something. What it is exactly I can not tell from looking at a picture online. I didn't vote because not sure was not a choice.
Good on you for maning up. You owe the horse carrots and a good scratch behind the ear. I also think he accepts cash.
No worries, friend, I didn't take it that way at all. Understand this about us coin-collecting horses. When we speak our mind, we're just speaking our mind. But we don't do that with just anybody, only with the ones we respect. The clowns don't deserve it. I'll clown with them all day long. With honest ones like you, I know if I come off funny, like here, I'm going to get the benefit of the doubt, and chance to explain away. But we're cool, @Pickin and Grinin. We always will be, just believe me when I tell you that. Call me out when I'm a horse's ass, if you need proof, and I'll prove it to you. I'd rather be given that opportunity to explain than leave anybody I respect thinking I'm a horse's ass. That makes sense. And if it don't, it don't, I'm a horse, what do you want from me?
I voted pareidolia as for it to be in the position your suggest, it would need to be a "dropped letter" instead of a RPM, in my opinion.
