i mean, how did this pass inspection or control. it a bit on the odd side of collecting tho, but interesting. provided a link and also photo(s) of the item ... i would be interested in seeing insight and opinions on this unique item http://coins.ha.com/itm/errors/unda.../1231-3496.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
Already being discussed. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/error-coin-a-dime-struck-onto-a-nail-is-headed-to-auction.272090/
Also, a mold is for casting coins, pouring the molten metal into a mold. Dimes are struck with a die, not casted. Also, If they were molded the nail would be melted Also, Cool error!
After Heritage sells it for $10,000.00 or more, the Mint will claim it was never produced for circulation and a disgruntled employee that no longer works that created this, therefore it is theft and it will be confiscated. Case in point, 1933 $20.00 Gold, what a fiasco.
Do it. We all want your book so you better make it a high print run and advertises them on the forums. Unless the tpg kabal has some dirt on you. Ya that must be it
I don't know if they have "dirt" on me, (Unlikely because I really don't care what people know about things I have done. There is very little I keep hidden. Mainly just my actual address.), and with the exception of one of them all of the main TPG' have copies of the book. As far as I know PCGS is the only one that doesn't. PCGS and I don't get along. They never liked it when I talked about when the different generations were produced. They got upset when I would talk about the counterfeit PCGS slabs. (That was back before the modern Chinese counterfeit slabs appeared.) They wouldn't answer questions I would ask them. They banned me from their forum. And then when the book came out they contacted me and requested two free copies. Heritage and at least two of their employees have copies, I believe there is a copy in the ANA library.
I hope you suggested where they could put your books. I quit posting at PCGS (and respecting them) when they banned Mark Feld. That's like banning the Easter Bunny, for crying out loud.
