Kirkuleez - that is a Morgan even I could love.

Sometimes I wish I could sell off a kid or two and buy an Athenian Dekadrachm.

Don't have now nor have I ever owned a Lincoln cent longer than it took to spend it. Don't like them--refuse to own them.

No Morgan dollars for me. It is IMO the most over-hyped (and over-priced) coin type in the history of the US monetary system.

Nor do I own any gold coins--or anything else made of yellow gold for that matter (even my wedding ring is white gold). Simply a putrid color.

I know telescopes and microscopes reverse images, but I have never heard of a "glass" reversing an image. What kind of glass is it?

Micronta 30 X illuminated Microscope and * X Magnifer. Can coins be Fine and XF if they have been cleaned?

OK, was thinking it had to be a microscope. Fine and XF (or EF) are grades, cleaned is a condition that can apply to any and all grades. As far as cleaning, TPG's (Third Party Graders - PCGS, NGC, etc) won't grade coins that have signs of cleaning. Cleaning without leaving traces is referred to as "conservation".

  8. My inital thought was a lincoln wheat cent, but I do own some. Although only through circulation.

But giving it a more thorough thought, I have to say gold. I absolutely love liberty head gold, but I have never owned one. I can spend almost 1k on a barber silver, but somehow I can't find it in me to put that money into a gold piece.

I only have token high grade examples of presidential pre 64 coins for my type set. Otherwise I have zero interest in owning any

I also don't own any mint or proof sets. If they are modern coins, I wouldn't want one.

Liberty Seated and Bust coins. I have one 1852 dime received more than 40 years ago from my father's cash register and an 1834 dime received in change 15 years ago when I lived in south Florida (the oldest coin I own, as well).

Plenty I don't own. One is a trade dollar but I plan to correct that shortcoming soon.

Never owned a Flying Eagle cent , guess I'm waiting for the right MS-63 -64 . Also don't own any Flowing hair half or dollars and no Draped Bust with small Eagle halves either . Guess there will be a lot of holes in my early type set especially quarters and dime Draped bust coins .

1937 D 3 leg buffalo nickel. I did buy one in PCGS XF40 with CAC on Ebay because I thought it was going too cheap but after the initial thrill it just was too much money in something that wasn't really my thing, I sold it for a small profit.
I do want to add the two seated dollar types to my type set.

    A 1909 S VDB, a 1916 D Mercury Dime, a 1885 Liberty V Nickel, a 1877 Indian Head Cent, a 1937 D three leg Buffalo, you get it, the most expensive coins in a collection.....:bigtears:
