What are you looking forward to from the US Mint in 2016

I'm looking forward to these. I just hope the prices aren't super high. I do want to get all 3!! Plus we all know the Mint website is going to have a meltdown when they do go on sale!!! I hope I don't get shut out of ordering.

I do understand a lot want gold but the silver is all I can afford would like to see better price items not as many and something worth collecting that goes up in value instead of down like a lot of mint issues have

 

I would have preferred silver versions as well but apparently the applicable regulations allow the Mint to issue these coins without requiring an act of Congress. Silver would need signed legislation

 

I personally would also like silver since it would be closer to the original issue. But sadly I doubt congress cares about what coin collectors want. Better start saving for the gold

 

I can certainly see the appeal of gold since these are Centennial coins, but like others, I would like buy them in silver. I will have to mull these over.

Not sure if it helps with ordering. But at least checkout is quicker.

Dec 3rd I was able to get the $100 Platinum coin (logged-on when ordering began, ordered immediately, checked-out quickly).

 

Yes I'm registered. The problem is that when the site gets hit, with a lot of orders, it has issues. I was shut out on one of the coin & chronicle sets because of this. I don't think the demand for the platinum coins were as high.

 

I see nothing but more greed.

 

I saw that there was going to be a National Parks issue in 2016 but cannot find out where. Hopefully a 1oz silver proof?

 

What am I looking for in 2016?

Simple, ramped up production of Presidential Dollars and Native American Dollars due to the Treasury Department taking their heads out and eliminating the paper dollar.

Of course, they probably won't do this as the paper suppliers will come up with some fancy process that allows them to do this security stuff and that security stuff right up to the point where it costs .26 cent each to print a buck.

 

I'm in for the mint set, proof set, silver proof set, ASE proof, ASE W burnished, ASE bullion coin, collector pucks, and the presidential cover series. I'm getting them each year but the presidential cover series will end this year.

Non of this crap that's for sure! Please, someone tell me.....is it me or what? I've seen better engraving and design coming from 3rd world countries! This stuff is embarrassing coming from the United States!
