What are you looking forward to from the US Mint in 2016

I just went over the product lineup for the mint. I'm very excited about most of the coins though a lot of them are TBD. What do you think the releases and mint figure will be like? I'm hoping for under 1,800 for everything.

    2016 Silver Proof Set
2016 Ronald Reagan coins & chronicles set
    2016 Walking Liberty Centennial
    2016 Standing Liberty Centennial
    2016 Mercury Dime Centennial

Anything I'm missing to add to my collection? Also is there anything worth getting a duplicate of to try to get a first strike designation?

I figure the Ronald Reagan set will sell out fast and have a huge premium, especially with the presidential election around the corner.

A lot of Ronald Reagan fans should definitely pump up that issue. My concern in these is will it stand up for really long term? Perhaps with him it will. In the short run I can see people getting this issue to flip over for a profit.

I will pick up the annual Silver Eagles and Silver proof sets as usual. Other than that, I have my eyes on those gold dimes, quarters, and half dollars...

What am I looking forward to from the US Mint in 2016? . . . Fewer contrived rarities.

I'm interested to see if they'll make a 30th Anniversary ASE set like they did for the 20th and 25th anniversaries.

As usual, an ASE proof. That's usually the only one I buy among the moderns. But the Mark Twain silver coin has me intrigued.

Not a damn thing unless they drop their prices to reflect the current spot price of silver. Do you think this would happen? I sure don't!

2016 24k gold Saint Reverse Proof. Sometime in 2016 no date has been set yet but one will have to act fast.

Yeah, I don't know which is better for long term appreciation - over priced, so that mintages are low, or priced close to the pm value, so that mintages are high. Take the P Pucks for example, priced at more than double melt. At current prices they sell half of what they did when priced closer to melt. Is the mint maximizing their profit with this pricing structure? I doubt the mint knows what it's doing.

Not sure I will buy anything directly from the mint, way to pricey there, looking more forward to buying some classic us coins next year :) Maybe a 2016 silver eagle from my coin shop though.

I'm looking forward to adding a plain old uncirculated 2016 Silver Eagle to my Dansco. That's all.

Yeah, I remember when the Mint delayed pricing the SAE's when the spot price of silver was on the rise. They don't mind screwing the customers, but they sure don't want to screw themself.

Made for circulation cent, nickel, dime and quarters from Philly and Denver. If I happen to find the halves and the dollars, great. If not...pfffff.

Just what I usually buy and that's not much. Prices are too darn high for what you get. If you wait you can do better in the after market.

I'm a little upset with the US Mint for cancelling the 2015 Limited Edition Silver Proof set. Their response to me was:

"Section 73002 of Public Law 114-94, enacted on December 4, 2015, requires that all proof and uncirculated versions of the American Eagle Silver Dollar issued during calendar year 2016 have a smooth edge incused with a designation that notes the 30th anniversary of the first issue of the American Eagle Silver Bullion Coin.

The planned (LS4) 2015 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set will not be issued. Its release was initially delayed due to packaging problems; however due to the above law it will not be issued."
