It is possible to have a US coin thread that doesn't have arguments about grading?

    There is a game people play and many don't know it. It is called "I'm better than you are" game. It applies to everything, including coins. I'm a better grader, my coin is better than yours, etc. Do things because you love them and don't criticize others that don't agree with you.

    Competition? There is no conflict when all we are asked to do is state our grade and maybe an estimate of value. I like it since it lets me see how I match-up to the norm. And when I don't, am I looking at a coin differently? Differences can be valuable.

    I would say this is a very fine thread. It may go only fine but I'm prepared for the arguments that it's extremely fine.
