My $850 live auction score

Ok guys here's some broad "detail" pics of the coin lot I got at a small time live auction. You guys tell me if $850 + 10% bp was a good deal

Only you can say if it was a good deal. What is the face value of the silver. Are there any keys in the sets?

 

Hard to tell by the pics. You would have to search each coin and see what their grade is then put a value on them - Peace dollars look good but the rest may not be anything more than silver value - and Lincolns - who knows? can't tell what you really have!

 

I was being facetious guys. Silver face is around $90 so spot value is around $1200. No keys really. Best semi-key is a 21s walker at vf35

Nice looking collection and you have plenty of silver, you got a good deal today! Be careful, cause you know as well as everyone that silver is on the down slope.

 

Its not all junk and with the numismatic value and non pm stuff I have the value of the lot in the $2k+ range. Bought it last Saturday

I'm tryin dave but I'm not as familiar with peace dollars. It's like vamming 101 all over again. I know the Morgan design inside and out, Peace not so much. But I'll at least go down the list vams

Yes, I bought that vintage ww2 era wool lined pilots skull cap and the creepy beauticians head for display was thrown in. The leather is still supple and strong and the wool lining is in just as good shape. I can't believe I only paid $40 for it as today's vintage Harley and Indian riders eat these original skull caps up for big $. Just watch American Pickers

I'm in the process of going through it all and upgrading / filling empty holes in my books. I'll probably keep and fill the peace for sure since I don't have a peace album yet (Anna's little sis is becoming more attractive to me ). Too early to say what I'll do with the rest when im.done

 

That head might surprise you. It's not a cheep one.
