Hi, is it possible for a 1934 Washington Quarter to be naturally underweight through wear and tear at 5.97 grams (vs. 6.25g)? Or should I assume some type of off-metal error? The edges also look somewhat peculiar (flat) to me but could also just be worn? I like learning the hows and whys so any input is appreciated, couldn't find much when I googled ..thank you!!
Great, thank you for all your input! Like I mentioned, I'm always super curious as to the hows and whys, or basically the story behind certain coins
Seattlite, yeah I used a macro lens attachment on my IPhone so it tends to focus well out to a certain point then blurs on the periphery. By the way, I'm assuming by your user name you are in or from Seattle? I was born and raise a T-town girl, lived in Seattle (Lake Union) and West Seattle too Relocated to Mesa, AZ in 2011.
That explains the blurry ridges of the photo. I use a macro lens for my iPhone sometimes too. They can be tricky. And I'm not from Seattle but I lived there a few years and met my wife there so the city is near and dear to me.
