I haven't heard of any Godless dollars at all...Perhaps the mint inspected the coins more, which could explain why there are so many bag marks...The mint apparently did a good job of keeping all the cool errors away from Jacksonville this time... I've been through two full boxes and have only found a couple of extra rim letters and about 100 minor cuds on the T's in "States" on the reverse....

i have only gone thru $100 in Adams dollats, and other than the floating edge letters (which have no value) i have not found anything substantial.

The mint most certainly must have improved their quality control!

Hi Guys! I found die filled cud errors (at least thats what I think they're called) on the upper serif of 'S' from STATES on 7 John Adams Dollars! Is that worth anything?

Based on your description it sounds like die chips and they do not add value.

I have gone through about 3000 of them now. Found 3 of the bi-directional's and 5 of the double stamped edges.

Another Person local here has gone through over 1000 and found ziltch.

(hope this post is ok. Sure didn't mean to break any rules here)

    Mercury's winged boot.

I've gone through 1000 and found more than 20 with cuds above the "C" in AMERICA. Looks like an accent-grave' or whatever the spanish term is. Someone coined the term (pun intended) "boot" to describe the shape, and I modified that because it looks like Mercury's winged boot to me. Pics later but I have one on ebay.. a third feeler auction.. looks like even epayers will only give me $2 for my dollar ;)

PS, my bank had mistakenly received 2 boxes of WASHINGTONS with their adams shipment. I had them use the teller date-stamp on the boxes (the 17th) and I took them too. maybe the last box at any bank??

Where do you get full boxes? My bank usually gets only one box per branch and they won't give the whole thing to a single customer.

From my past dealing with getting boxes from your bank you will have to ask them to order the boxes for you. Just don't expect a warm reception when you decide to bring that box back to a bank!
