Didn't know who he was, but I hope he rests in peace, and I thank him for his contributions to ancient coin collecting.

I had not head this but have been away from the phones for a while. Let me make some calls and I will see if it is true.

How? Was he ill? I spoke to him at the last Baltimore show and he looked fine, and he was by no means old.

I've known Tom since the 80's and he was my mentor when I became a dealer. I knew about his health but was not aware it was serious.

I didn't know him either, but my condolences to those who did. Always terribly sad and even more so at this time of the year.

Sad news. My Aunt died Monday (expected) and my best friend from the Army died this week as well (unexpected). What a terrible week for me.

Bing, I am sorry for your losses. A few years ago, we lost Mother in Law the week before Christmas, it is a tough time.

Carthago Does this look infected to you?

Tom was not at the San Francisco Bourse, though it was my understanding that he was key in organizing it. His right hand man that he works with, Mike, was at the show running the booth and told me that Tom was not well and couldn't make it. He was cagy about his condition. He wouldn't commit that he'd be in NY. I had a feeling something was up.

This just sucks. Tom was a great guy and a gentleman. I always loved how he would make the history come alive behind the coins that we would discuss.

My thoughts and prayers go to Tom's family and to you Bing.
Tom had a table, but was not at the Houston show for the first time I can remember. I enjoyed seeing his works of art and hearing some of his stories of the history behind the coins.

If you want to look him up on the web, his name is spelled "Cederlind".

Thats a shame, especially this time of year. I have lost many loved ones at this time. I have a few coins from him and he was a nice guy.

    My condolences to his family.
