It looks like some doubling on the top of the S in TURST, but you would expect to see some doubling on the U of TRUST also, none there. I think there is so much damage on this half dollar it makes it impossible to attribute. Larry Nienaber
I was referring to the letters in "we trust", and maybe the Y. They don't look normal compared to other photos I've looked at. Sorry for the crappy pics. Thanks to those who responded nicely
The majority of what you're seeing, and perhaps all, can directly be attributed to the aforementioned damage. With that said, I would take to heart the gentleman's post above yours (#5). I'm only familiar with him from this board, but he has displayed a deep knowledge of these coins and their varieties.
