Looks like we both did good then. Can't wait to see what coin you end up getting with the money. I was looking at your RR denarii in your website...I am very impressed. You are building a stellar collection.

Thanks! I'm not quite sure what my next purchase will be, but it'll certainly be RR. I'm highly considering picking up a quadrigatus if I can find one I like in my price range. There was one a few months ago that I really, really liked but it was outside of the US and the seller could not verify the provenance so he wouldn't sell it to me due to the MOU with Italy.

Very nice! I've been telling myself that my budget won't allow me to buy anything else for a few weeks but I saw a discounted copy of David Sear's Roman Coins and Their Values V - Vol. 5 at my local coin shop and purchased it. Now I'll have to track down some of the other volumes when my budget is less strained.

Oh ...... I also stopped in a cash for gold type establishment and was able to purchase a few underpriced U.S. coins.

You may want to buy a few 4rth century Roman bronze coins and maybe a few Byzantinians too. Those are plentiful, cheap, and the Roman ones can be especially sharp and good looking. Some of the more common ones will set you back only $10-$20 a coin, which will be easy on your budget yet still wet your appetite for Ancients.

Wow, sweet OP-score, Sallent ... another great ancient pickup

I have an example as well (oh, and you can never have too many dolphin-coins in your collection, my friend!!)
