1958 P double die obverse penny

Isn't this the other guy with a new name? The other guy argued that he also had a 1958 DD and showed pictures also of a 1969 DD, of which neither were DD.

Hey I've come to learn u guys recommend these different Sites,but have no clue ways there yourselfs because u failed to keep yourselfs updated. You know how many times I've been told a 1967 dd doesn't exist.

This is NOT fact, and even IF it was a minor variety, just sending to any TPG would be an exercise in futility.

If you go to Wexler's site and look under 58-P doubled dies, you'll see an in depth listing for 001, but after you'll notice his mention of WDDO-002 and WDDO-003 (his online listing are, as of yet, incomplete). Just to further the point, if you go to coppercoins, the only 58-P listed is a minor variety. Now, I'm certainly not saying the OP has one, but it is wrong to simply dismiss a coin of this date simply because it isn't the big one. Beyond this, there is always that chance of a new discovery, which only the coin itself can prove or disprove.

I'm not able to see any sort of conclusive doubling in your photos. However, and as you mentioned, there does appear to be "something" in the neck area, but between the photo and this small screen, I am unable to say exactly what I'm seeing. Clashing in this area is with a vertical leg of a reverse N (of CENT) and should show straight, but the anomaly on yours almost looks curved. Perhaps you can clarify, or even post a better photo?

I can see the faint line in front of the neck...on other coins that is more prominent it turns out to be a die clash. coppercoins shows one class 5. I believe I heard something about a STRONG variety existing (could be wrong) but I think the total reported was 2 maybe 3.
