1968 s ?

    Ive had this coin for a while just got around to posting it. The 8 has what appears to be a large die chip but the s is a normal mint mark with a shadow rotated s

    That's an apparition you're seeing on the S. The 8 was sheared over to the side by the machine that rolls these.

    I need to learn a little more about errors. Ive been playing games for the last few years and quit learning about coins. I am now on a mission to learn more about coins

    This much I'm sure of. Some machine hit your 8 and pushed it to the right. I'd keep it, definitely. That's how you learn, as you have the damaged coin in hand.

    Pushed metal is similar to MD vs DD in that they are the mirage, apparition or phantom of the error world. You think you see an error but it's not and some can be very convincing to those unfamiliar
