OK. Thanks. Obviously I am new at this. That is why I ask a lot of questions. I am interested in coins and I am learning through you guys on here and online. I otherwise don't really have much reliable sources. Thank you for all your help guys!
Yes, you ask a lot of questions. You also listen carefully & intelligently and never fail to thank respondents. Some folks are more fun to teach than others, and you're one of them.
She also speaks in complete and not run-on sentences. That's a real big plus among the newbies around here, I don't know if you noticed that.
Thank you. I also teach my kids manners. I believe strongly in respect and listening. I may be a bit slow sometimes but I really try. This is something I recently got into because I am a stay at home mom and I have nothing to occupy my time between taking care of the kids. I find this relaxing and a real interesting hobby. My daughter is autistic so she can really do a number on me mentally and emotionally some days. This is my way of taking a break. You guys don't know how much I appreciate it. Thank you again.
Sheila, that's exactly what I use this for, it's a pleasurable escape. Doesn't matter what you're escaping from.
There's a certain "critical mass" point, and it'll happen earlier than you think at the rate you're investing attention, where things start making sense based on what you already know. Between the coins you post and the ones others post which are relevant to you (and the forum's Search function), in a month you could see solid examples of all the "families" of mint errors along with relevant discussion. They form a basis from which you can then judge the thing in front of you whether you've seen it before or not.
I am beginning to see that. I only post the ones I am not sure about. I do find some weird ones though. Most of them I don't post. I know I am still wet behind the ears on this, but I am honestly interested.
