@britannia40 I noticed that you have a CC Morgan in the lot. I don't know if you are aware of it or not but PCGS now grades the CC Morgans in the OGP case. It's not like NGC where they just put a band around the case. PCGS puts the entire OGP case in a PCGS slab. It's a little big. Just thought you'd like to know. Chris
yes im sorry was a typo. my guess' would be as follows 1869 XF-AU, 1905 high AU, 1888 XF-AU, 1837 AU, 1897 XF cleaned, 1826 XF-AU 1806 high AU, 1901-03 XF-AU, 1903 XF-AU, 1934 (not sending) 1837-54 AU 1883cc MS63 and 1904 MS63-64 (if not cleaned)
GRADES ARE IN. 1902 2.5$ MS62 1903 Kirin 10 Cashes XF45 1888 Cent XF45 1926 Shilling XF45 1905 Peso AU Details Cleaned 1837 1/2D AU50 1837-54 BU MS62 1869 5 Franc AU55 1833-CC 1$ (Would not grade???) 1901-03 5 Cash XF40 1897c XF Details Scratched 1806 Farthing XF45 (really think should be at least AU)
What the reason they didn't grade the CC? Was it body-bagged or slabbed as just genuine? The numbers should tell you the reason why.
I believe it was they didn't have the GSA oversized holder for it at the HK show. not 100% until I pick it up. its Genuine 96 no service/refund
just got the reply back Unfortunately, we do not have suitable material to do the GSA grading during on site grading event. The coin will be returned to you as N96 first and may have to be re-submitted and send to US for grading.
They probably don't get enough GSA holders outside the US office to justify having the service and proper holder on hand.
Are you happy with the results ? Looks like you got a mixed bag compared to your expectations. One interesting thing, for me anyway, has come of it. From what I have previously read grading was not being done at the foreign offices, they were merely drop off points for the coins, the coins were then sent to the US for grading. But this clearly indicates that grading is being done at the foreign offices. That only makes sense though as shipping back and forth would eat up any profits for the company. And if the customer had to pay for the shipping, grading costs would be prohibitive.
well they do send to usa but if coin show the graders are here. i think they grade more stringent onsite.
